When I lived in London the most relaxed I ever felt was during our post-work yoga sessions.
It wasn’t glamorous, we used to push back all the tables and chairs in one of our meeting rooms and lay out our mats – but after the one hour long class you didn’t care where you were! The traffic and sirens and car alarms and telephones all disappeared.
Having not been to a yoga class for over a year I decided it was about time I got back into it. And I couldn’t have found a better place than Talise Spa at Madinat Jumeirah.
You feel zen as soon as you arrive, although I felt out of place as soon as I arrived! From my usual speaking too quickly and rushing around to this calm, slow paced, small stepped spa I felt instantly more relaxed.
The class took place in the studio, although they also offer sunset yoga on the beach which is amazing. There were only five of us in the class so it was nice and small.
You can choose from both Hatha and Vinyasa depending on what you’re looking for and I’d highly recommend both classes.
For practically the same cost as in a gym or yoga studio you get the hotel spa surroundings and changing rooms (plus lounge) all thrown in, nothing better after a great yoga session.
