September favourites

So I got out of the habit of doing my monthly favourites when work took over, but we’re back!

I tried a lot of new products last month, on the recommendation of Simone (Simone Scribes/Simone Loves Make Up) I headed down to Paris Gallery to pick up the Shiseido under eye concealer and it’s amazing! Better than touche eclat I think. Have been using it pretty much every day and love it.

Next up is the Virgin Mojito Body Scrub from The Body Shop – I used to love these products when I was a teenager but hadn’t stepped inside The Body Shop for years. They have a very proactive PR though (!) and on trying all of the other products I’ve been sent over the last year or two I’ve started to go back in now and then. This product wasn’t gifted by the way and I really like it, I’ve since also picked up the body lotion from the same range – they smell amazing!

The lipgloss I’ve been sing is actually from Chanel at Sephora, it isn’t anywhere near as bright as it looks in the packaging – it’s actually almost colour-less so you can wear it on its own or top of lipstick. I’ve just been wearing it on its own and it’s the perfect non-sticky, non-smelly lipgloss.

My favourite eyeshadow brushes are these double ended ones from h&m beauty. They are really cheap and really really lovely quality. One is much softer and fuller (so just a normal applicator) and the other is slanted and perfect for using eyeshadow as a liner.

And finally this top coat from Ciate (gifted by the lovely PR Tash, thank you!) Not only did I need a new top coat so this was perfect timing but it smells ever so slightly of coconut! Great for summer but not too sickly, you can smell it mostly when you put it on. Beauty experts will probably be in shock but I’ve also used it a couple of times as the base coat as well as top and it works really well.
