This week we were treated to a preview of both the new menu and the Valentine’s treats at Pantry Cafe, Al Wasl Square.
To say we were impressed would be an under statement, everything we had was amazingly fresh and tasty but I think it’s fair to say the real highlights were the lamp chops and definitely the best dessert I’ve ever had! Imagine a huge Reese’s peanut butter cup but 100 times better. Suffice to say I couldn’t finish it and we were sent home with a little doggy bag!
I’m not a huge fan of fancy restaurants but it’s rare to get such nice ingredients (on such a varied menu) in a more casual dining setting.
We opted for items from the main menu (fish & chips, chocolate peanut butter dessert), new menu (lamb chops with lentil salad) and Valentine’s menu (red velvet dessert in a jar).
If you’re going over the next few days the second Valentine’s item you can try is the Red Velvet Cappuccino.
All in all it was a great meal (as you’ll see from all the pictures…I may have gotten a bit snap happy!)
It’s a great spot for a meal or just a tea/coffee – they have one of the most extensive menus of tea so you’ll be spoilt for choice but I can highly recommend the Bombay Chai.
By Dubai standards it was a bit chilly so we chose to sit inside but the terrace area is lovely so I’m looking forward to going back for breakfast in the sunshine very soon!
Thanks again to Charlotte and the friendly Pantry team.
