As most of you are probably aware, I have a slight problem when it comes to stripey tops!
In fact, most of my tops are either grey….or stripey! So imagine my excitement when an Emerald Street e-newsletter popped up in my inbox with one of headlines reading ‘all the striped tops you could want.’ *click*
Personally, I thought the classic Breton top was made popular by the wonderful Coco Chanel, however it was first worn as part of the French naval uniform in Brittany – and had to feature 21 stripes, one for each of Napolean’s victories! There’s a little history lesson for you, now back to fashion!
