Another weekend, another stack of pancakes to tackle – all in the name of blogging!
Last weekend we went down to Clinton St Baking Company in Downtown for a bit of a late breakfast.
We knew the instant we walked in that it was a popular spot – every single table was taken and there were more people waiting for their turn to turn into some all-American treats. In the short 6 months that it’s been open Clinton St has already made a name for itself and built a strong following!
After a short wait our booth was ready and we browsed the menu (all organic produce) and swiftly got the coffees in.
Here’s what we had:
- Blueberry pancakes with maple butter – my one point (not a negative because I liked it so much but more of a request) is that pancakes need maple syrup! Clinton St offers their signature maple butter but they would be twice as good with lashings of maple syrup!
- Huevos Rancheros
On that point though – how much I liked it, not the maple syrup…the team is one of the friendliest you’ll come across in a diner. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable when it comes to the menu and completely unfrazzled by the busy weekend shift.
Would definitely recommend it!
