Where do you take your mum in Paris for her first visit? All the top sights….in just three days!
We set off early one Thursday morning for King’s Cross St.Pancras. The holiday starts as soon as you’ve packed your bags so we treated ourselves to a yummy breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien before boarding our Eurostar to gay Paris.
A travel blogger friend introduced me to Avenue Story – a company that rents out apartments and they hooked us up with a great deal on a central apartment perfect for our short stay – the Concorde Loft Apartments on Rue Cambon.
Avenue Story offers a range of different places to stay for both small and larger groups and if you like the flexibility of being able to come and go at your own pace and a little home away from home this is the perfect option. It’s also nice to have your own kitchen if you don’t want full meals out throughout your trip.
Our apartment was set in the most gorgeous courtyard, hidden from the main street behind the heaviest door I’ve come across! It was on the fourth floor up several flights of narrow, winding stairs but we didn’t have much luggage so it was fine for us. Also a good way to work off some of the calories from all the French food!
The apartment can sleep up to four people so it was plenty big enough for the two of us with a lovely double bedroom and a double sofa bed.
A better look at our Parisian home:
The apartment was in the 1st arrondisment so perfectly located for all the sights we wanted to visit – no more than a 25min walk to the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Jardin de Tuileries, Notre Dame and the Champs Elysees to name a few!
More to come on our Parisian adventure soon!
