A few weeks ago it was Mr Maitha’s birthday so as he hadn’t been to Zuma before (how?! Why?!) I booked us a table for dinner.
You might have already ready my Zuma brunch post here, but if not – I would highly recommend Zuma for a special occasion. The restaurant is really lovely, a bit more New York in style and the service is great. The food – is some of the best food I have ever eaten.
Oh and if you’re planning to drive there is a dedicated valet that makes the whole DIFC parking situation much much easier!
So, we went for a selection to share starting with spicy edamame and chili calamari. Then we had the king prawns, spicy beef (best thing on the table) with steamed rice and asparagus.
We normally wouldn’t have desert but we spotted a couple going past that looked good so we went for the chocolate fondant (yummy and gooey) and the deconstructed berry cheesecake.
People often say it’s really expensive but I think it actually depends on what you order, how much you order and more importantly how much alcohol you like to have with a meal. I can recommend the virgin mojitos if you’re looking for a non-alcoholic option!
