Bicester Village

A quick trip to Bicester Village!

Just an hour’s train ride out of London and you’ll soon find yourself in Bicester, Oxfordshire – where else could we be going but Bicester Village?!

Bicester Village

A couple of weeks ago, my week started with a day off work. Whilst everyone else was dragging themselves out of bed for a commute into work, I was getting myself ready for a day out to Bicester Village with my sister.

Once the school run was done (hers, not mine – don’t worry I haven’t had any secret children!), we met at Marylebone station, a quick coffee and it was time to get the train to Bicester – if you’re planning a trip yourself, don’t forget to ask for a ticket all the way to Bicester Village, for an extra £4.50 per person this includes a return trip on the shuttle bus between the train station and shopping village.

As the train travelled further out of London and crept up north west towards Oxford, the rain got gradually heavier and heavier!

The prospect of endless fashion bargains meant I hardly cared though – for anyone who knows me you’ll know this really is quite incredible.

When you arrive at the shopping village it’s almost like getting to Disneyland, each shop is housed in a mini cabin all lined up along a boulevard. Although it’s in Oxfordshire there is something about it that makes you feel as if you’ve left the UK altogether. All in all, a great way to enjoy a day of relaxed, unrushed shopping.

Now, onto the most important bit – the purchases! We picked up a couple of lovely things for ourselves as well as a couple of Christmas presents – so that I don’t ruin the surprise, look out for my post just after Christmas Day when I’ll tell you all about our luxury bargains!
