Jersey

A hop and a skip to Jersey

Ever wanted to go to Jersey? No, me neither. It was never top of my travel wishlist, or even on it if I’m honest. However, when one of our clients at work offered us a fam trip weekend to the island I got quite excited.

Hire car – check, island map – check, hotel – booked! We were all set, it’s fair to say we didn’t really do much research or plan out our days before we went. Plain and simple, it had been busy at work and we were too busy making sure journalist trips were going smoothly! Also, having worked on the PR account for Channel Islands Direct for just over six months, I vaguely knew the main highlights of the island and were to go for what etc…

Jersey

Just a short flybe flight later and we landed on the sunny (yes, Really sunny) island of Jersey. It was 30 degrees and felt much further away from England than it actually is. Having spoken to a few friends who had been, they are said it felt like being in France. I wouldn’t go that far but it is definitely a far cry from London life.

Jersey

Best bit for me? Without a doubt, the beaches. The beaches on the island are clean, sandy (sorry Brighton) and all have fantastic views. I’d definitely recommend it for a weekend trip if you’re short on time but really want to get away from it all. The people are friendly and the atmoshere laid back – perfect for a relaxing break.

Thanks again to Channel Islands Direct (www.channelislandsdirect.co.uk) for all the help organising our trip.
